Permira has revised its takeover proposal for Squarespace, boosting the offer to $7.2 billion, the companies announced on Monday. The updated bid raises the purchase price to $46.50 per share in cash, up from the initial offer of $44 per share.
This adjustment follows a recent recommendation from the proxy advisory firm Institutional Shareholder Services, which urged Squarespace investors to oppose the original acquisition proposal from Permira.
