Cylib, a German start-up supported by Porsche and Bosch, has commenced construction on its inaugural European battery recycling facility, the company announced on Monday.
The new 236,000-square-foot plant, located at Chempark Dormagen between Düsseldorf and Cologne, is scheduled to begin operations in 2026. The facility is designed to handle up to 30,000 tons of end-of-life batteries annually, marking a significant step forward in the company’s recycling capabilities.
