Acer Unveils Next-Generation Swift Laptops at CES 2024, Integrating AI and NPU for Enhanced User Experience

In a significant stride towards technological innovation, Acer has kicked off the year 2024 with the announcement of three groundbreaking additions to its Swift family of laptops at CES 2024. The new Swift models, equipped with Intel Core Ultra processors featuring integrated Neural Processing Units (NPUs), mark a transformative era for consumer technology.

As part of the Intel Evo-certified lineup, the Acer Swift Go 16 and Acer Swift Go 14 laptops boast a dedicated Copilot key for streamlined accessibility. The laptops introduce a 1440p QHD webcam with Temporal Noise Reduction (TNR), enhancing video quality. Additionally, AI-driven features such as Background Blur, Automatic Framing, and Eye Contact contribute to an enriched user experience.

Acer’s PurifiedVoice 2.0 technology, coupled with AI noise reduction, ensures crystal-clear audio capture and minimizes background noise through the three built-in microphones on both models. The laptops, designed with a 180-degree opening angle for flat laying, also feature a 44% larger scrolling surface in the Acer Swift Go 14. The displays boast a 500-nit peak brightness supporting 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, along with DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification.

The Swift Go 16 features a 16-inch 3.2K 120Hz refresh rate display, while the Swift Go 14 sports a 14-inch 2.8K 90Hz display. Both models are TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe® display certified, with the option for WUXGA touchscreen displays for touch and pen input.

Memory and storage options have been upgraded, supporting up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to an expandable 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD with dual slots. The laptops offer an array of ports, including two Thunderbolt 4 USB Type-C ports, one USB Type-A port with offline charging, one HDMI 2.1 port, and a microSD card reader.

The Acer Swift Go 16 is set to debut in North America in March, starting at a competitive US$799.99, followed by its availability in EMEA in February, priced from EUR 1,149.

For the Acer Swift Go 14, North American availability begins in March with a retail price starting at US$749.99. The EMEA and China markets will see availability starting in February, with prices commencing at EUR 1,099 and RMB 5,499, respectively.

Targeting creators and students with a demand for robust computing power, Acer introduces the Swift X 14. Featuring new Intel Ultra Core processors and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 laptop GPU, this laptop boasts a Calman-verified 2.4K OLED display with 500-nit peak brightness, a Delta E under 2, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Swift X 14, equipped with a dedicated Copilot key and pre-installed NVIDIA Studio drivers, incorporates AI features like TNR, Acer PurifiedView, and PurifiedVoice 2.0 with AI Noise Reduction technology. The processing power of the Swift X 14 accelerates AI-enhanced workflows for tasks such as live streaming, video editing, and 3D rendering.

Memory options for the Swift X 14 include up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. The laptop is equipped with dual USB Type-C ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a microSD card reader.
