Visa (V.N) has unveiled ambitious plans to significantly boost the adoption of digital payments in Pakistan, with a goal to increase the number of businesses accepting these payments by ten times over the next three years. This strategic push was revealed by Leila Serhan, Visa’s General Manager for Pakistan, North Africa, and the Levant, in an exclusive interview with Reuters.
The announcement comes alongside Visa’s new partnership with 1Link, Pakistan’s largest payment service provider. This collaboration is set to enhance the efficiency of remittance flows into Pakistan and promote broader use of digital transactions across the country.
