San Francisco, September 11, 2024 – Cybersecurity firm SentinelOne (S.N) has appointed Barbara Larson as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Larson succeeds Dave Bernhardt in this role.
The appointment comes as SentinelOne intensifies its efforts to capture market share from its larger competitor, CrowdStrike (CRWD.O). This strategic move follows a recent global outage linked to CrowdStrike’s software update, which has prompted some customers to explore alternative cybersecurity solutions. SentinelOne is also focusing on expanding its portfolio of AI-powered cybersecurity products.
Larson brings extensive experience to her new role, having previously served as the CFO at Workday (WDAY.O) after a decade-long tenure. At Workday, Larson played a key role in the company’s financial operations before stepping down from the CFO position in 2023.
