The Black Eyed Peas are set to revolutionize their stage presence with the introduction of an AI-powered member during their highly anticipated Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood in 2025.
Named Vida, this artificial intelligence entity is designed to emulate human interaction and presence, as revealed by Will.i.am in an exclusive interview with USA Today. Unlike traditional holograms, Vida will be a fully integrated member of the band, participating actively in performances.
“With Vida joining the Black Eyed Peas, fans will have the opportunity to engage and communicate with her around the clock,” Will.i.am explained. “Vida will be seamlessly connected with all band members, stage crew, and even the audience, allowing for real-time interactions.”
Vida’s role extends beyond mere participation; she will perform alongside the band, including in duet performances, marking a significant leap in AI integration in live music.
This innovation is part of Will.i.am’s broader commitment to AI technology. In August, he launched RAiDiO.FYI, an AI-driven interactive media platform that personalizes radio content and enables users to engage with AI radio personalities. This follows his April investment in Udio, an AI-powered music app capable of generating songs from text inputs, with capabilities including genre-specific creations and multilingual vocals.
The Black Eyed Peas’ residency promises to blend cutting-edge technology with live entertainment, showcasing the future of interactive music experiences.
