Sony (6758.T) has officially announced the release of the PlayStation 5 Pro, a high-end iteration of its popular gaming console. Set to hit the market on November 7, the PlayStation 5 Pro will be priced at $699.99.
This upgraded model features enhanced graphics capabilities thanks to a superior graphics processing unit, though it does not include a disc drive. The PS5 Pro is priced approximately 40% higher than the standard PlayStation 5 with a disc drive.
Despite the anticipated debut of this advanced console, Sony has revised its sales forecast for the PlayStation 5, aiming to sell 18 million units this fiscal year. This figure represents a decrease from the 20.8 million units sold in the previous fiscal year.
