Nokia (NOKIA.HE) has dismissed recent rumors about a potential replacement for its President and CEO, Pekka Lundmark. The company issued a statement to Reuters on Thursday, countering a Financial Times report that suggested it was actively seeking a new chief executive.
“Nokia’s Board of Directors fully supports President and CEO Pekka Lundmark and is not engaged in any process to replace him,” the company clarified. Nokia emphasized that it regularly reviews and discusses its leadership succession strategy, which includes evaluating both internal and external candidates. The company assured that its CEO and Chair are well-informed and involved in this ongoing process.
