Brazil’s Supreme Court has lifted the freeze on bank accounts belonging to Starlink and X, following a substantial financial transaction mandated by the court. Justice Alexandre de Moraes ordered the transfer of 18.35 million reais (approximately $3.3 million) from these accounts to the Brazilian government.
The decision, announced on Friday, was made after the transferred amount matched the total fines owed by X to Brazil. These fines had been imposed during a legal dispute involving X’s billionaire owner, Elon Musk, and Justice Moraes. The removal of the freeze comes as a resolution to the ongoing feud, with the court’s actions ensuring that the financial obligations were fulfilled.
