Disney to Phase Out Slack Following Data Breach

Walt Disney Co. plans to discontinue its use of Slack as a company-wide collaboration tool following a significant data breach that exposed over a terabyte of sensitive company information. According to a report by the Status media newsletter, Disney’s Chief Financial Officer, Hugh Johnston, announced that most of the media and entertainment giant’s divisions will stop utilizing the platform later this year.

In the wake of the breach, many teams within the company have already begun migrating to more streamlined enterprise collaboration tools. This decision reflects Disney’s commitment to enhancing data security and protecting sensitive information in its operations.
