Meta has announced a partnership with James Cameron’s tech company, Lightstorm Vision, to revolutionize 3D content creation. The multi-year deal will leverage Meta’s Meta Quest headset and AI tools to help content creators produce immersive experiences more affordably. The collaboration aims to extend beyond filmmaking to include live concerts and sports.
Cameron, a pioneer in 3D technology, called the partnership a “historic inflection point” in media. Meta continues to invest heavily in the metaverse and mixed reality, with the goal of reshaping the future of entertainment. The company has already seen success with AI tools but is working to make its MR headsets more widely adopted.
Meta also emphasizes the ethical use of AI, with Cameron serving on the board of Stability AI, a key advisor in this initiative. Meanwhile, Nissan has introduced a new NFT rewards program, highlighting the growing influence of blockchain in mainstream business.
