Meta’s New Ray-Ban Glasses Set to Feature AI Displays, Launching in 2025

Meta is set to release an upgraded version of its Ray-Ban smart glasses, integrating AI-powered displays for compact alerts and responses. According to reports from the Financial Times, the glasses are expected to launch in early 2025, though the exact release date could extend into the second half of the year.

These new Ray-Ban glasses will feature small displays that deliver notifications and responses from Meta’s AI assistant, though they are not intended to be full mixed-reality products. This design is a departure from Meta’s upcoming Orion AR glasses, which are still in development and may launch a few years down the line.

The new Ray-Ban glasses will retain their stylish design, complete with in-ear speakers, cameras, and microphones. The model also promises to provide users with the convenience of capturing images and videos easily, making them an appealing choice for quick snapshots on the go—whether of pets, food, or everyday moments.

Despite the focus on functionality, Meta is aiming for simplicity in the design, hoping to balance the addition of displays without compromising the product’s core features, such as camera quality.
